The training at Smart Family was a really informative training...
The training at Smart Family was a really informative training. Some information was a refresher for me, but I was able to help others understand the things I already knew. The teachers were great with the information and teaching us about how certain parts work and how certain parts fail.
The hands-on part of the class was a really nice aspect as well. Getting to hook up gauges to the units and really see how they work after learning about them in the classroom. Smart Family academy is a great class for beginners in the hvac industry or even some veterans that need a refresher.

I attended Smart Family training 101, 102, and DH/Psychometrics. In 3 different classes I went from having little to no knowledge about HVAC, to being able to diagnosis complex issues. All of Smart Family’s trainers are extremely knowledgeable with years of in-field and teaching experience. One thing that stood out the most when you go Smart Family, is Reggie’s style of teaching that gave us time in the class but also gave us a chance to get (our) hands on the equipment to see what you’re hearing about in the classroom. I would suggest to anyone who gets a chance to take a class with them to do it!!

Combined Refrigeration Resources is born.

Per our customers' requests, this is the year we built our first piece of Rental Ready cooling equipment. That air conditioner is still in operation today.
1999
We moved to a new, larger facility to be able to manage the additional equipment sales.
2009
As we moved more into manufacturing our own equipment, we decided to develop a new manufacturing arm of Combined Refrigeration. It carries the name: Smart Family of Cooling Products.
2014
Additional expansion as Smart Family adds a Marketing office & Equipment Showroom.
2022
Smart Family moves to a new manufacturing facility. This new 45,000+ square foot facility features over 3x as much yard storage as manufacturing space! Truly a sight to see!
